Kaunas University of Technology (KTU)

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is one of the largest technological universities in the Baltic States. KTU's strategy is aimed at strengthening the university's responsibility to society and the country. The most important activity is the contribution of the University to the vitality of the country and sustainable economic, social, cultural, knowledge-based development.

Vellenes fellesorganisasjon (VFO) is an umbrella organization uniting more than 2,200 Norwegian community associations, neighborhoods and other local association organizations, and co-operation organizations at the municipal level. The aim of the organization is to strengthen the volunteering initiatives and efforts of the Norwegian population.
VFO represent civic movements that care about their local community. Organizes self-help and social activities, engages in community development, represents in municipal affairs, especially in relation to urban planning, takes care of the environment and various social activities for all age groups. The association has many years of experience in citizen participation in urban planning.
The organization has 3 employees and a council of 14 members. An annual national assembly is held each year, and a monthly newsletter is issued.

Bodø Municipality

Bodø Municipality is located in Northern Norway. One of the innovations of the municipality is the “ByLab“ urban laboratory, which aims to explore opportunities for collaboration and participation in real places. The aim of the municipality of Bodø is to create a SMART city using new participatory technologies that will support democratic processes and sustainable urban planning.

The community association “Žemųjų Šančių bendruomenė” (ŽŠB) is a local community which unites the residents of Kaunas Šančiai district, promotes the development of civil society in the residential area and the development of self-governance. ŽŠB seeks to create a safe and healthy living environment, to foster public spaces and their purposeful use, to foster the tangible and intangible cultural values of the community.
