Public discussion of the project "Reconstruction of the Nemunas embankment street and bicycle path in Kaunas"

In accordance with the recommendation of the Ministry of Environment regarding publicity procedures during quarantine, the public hearing took place online on 23 March at 5 p.m.

The interested publics was introduced with the prepared project proposals from March 5 until March 23 on the website of Kaunas City Municipality: bit.ly/NemunoKrantine . Questions and suggestions about the project under development could be submitted until March 23.

The meeting was attended by several hundred people, including 27 members of the Žemieji Šančiai community. Duration of Public presentation - 5 hours. The Community of Lower Šančiai together with Viešo intereso gynimo fondas (Fund of the Defense of Public Interest) submitted 1 package of suggestions and comments and participated in the 5 hours deliberation. After the public hearing, the Project planning process was suspended because the project had no architectural part. Kaunas Municipality does not communicate further the plans and actions with the public.
