Main Information

Remote creative workshops for KTU Vaižgantas progymnasium students and teachers. During the workshop, the methodology of design oriented thinking is applied and a map of Šančiai "Memory" is created. Workshop duration - 4 hours. Participants - 6th-8th grade students of KTU Vaižgantas progymnasium. The work took place in groups of 5 to 7 students. A total of 9 groups were formed. The group work was moderated by KTU teachers, community volunteers and school educators. During them, the process of creating a map of Šančiai Memory based on the DOT (design-based thinking) methodology was continued. In the 1st session, the participants marked their visual and auditory memories, and in the 2nd workshop, they uploaded their memories to the virtual map of Šančiai Memory Map - Genius Loci (sanciubendruomene.lt) . In the video link, Laura Jankauskaitė-Jurevičienė, a member of the Šančiai community, a lecturer at the Department of Construction and Architecture at KTU, provides detailed information on how to use the Memory Map and upload information to it.

61 people who participated in the DOT I workshop continued their work in the workshops, including 4 facilitators, 1 volunteer, 4 teachers. Session duration - 4 hours.

The workshop is part of the project "Genius loci: urbanization and civil society", which is a part of the Active Citizens' Fund, funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism.
